Börje Salming Wife: Meet Pia Salming

Pia Salming is the wife of Börje Salming, a former Swedish professional ice hockey defenseman. Borje Salming married Pia Salming in 2016.

Pia, who was born on November 13, 1967, and hockey legend Borje Salming began dating before marrying in 2016. They met while travelling across the land Sea and have been together ever since.

Pia, like her mother, used to be a hairdresser, but she has since changed careers and is now a police officer.

Pia chose a different career path despite having wanted to be a cop since she was a child. Pia used to go to her mother’s hair salon when she was a kid. She felt at ease there, so she chose the same location as her mother.

Pia said, “I’ve always loved being a hairdresser, and I’ve never really wanted to quit.”

Börje Salming is best known for his many seasons with the Maple Leafs, during which he set numerous franchise records, including the most assists.

Salming became the first European-born and trained player to appear in 1,000 career NHL games on January 4, 1988.
