Sue Baker Husband: Who Was Sue Baker Married To?

Late TV icon of the 80s, Sue Baker, was married to Tom Baker during her lifetime.

Tom was born in 1934 and had been divorced twice before he married Sue Baker. However, not much information is available about him.

Who Was Sue Baker?

Sue Baker was one of the first few women who began journalism in the automotive industry, having worked at Top Gear as a presenter from 1980 to 1991.

As a motoring journalist, she appeared in 22 series of the show, and later went on to work with The Observer as a motoring editor for another 13 years.

Baker died on November 14, 2022, after a long battle with motor neurone disease. She was aged 67.

She died in her home, surrounded by her family members.

Her passing was announced on her Twitter via a statement that described her as a “talented and prolific writer, a charismatic TV presenter, and a passionate animal lover”.

She was a well respected figure whose career in automotive journalism was an envy of all.

Baker is survived by her children Ian and Hannah; her grandchildren Tom and George; and her daughter-in-law Lucy.
