Rafa and Cormac’s arrival was announced by Jonnie Irwin in June 2020. He posted a picture of himself and his wife holding their twin sons at the hospital with the comment: “They’ve arrived! After spending a long day at the hospital, the boys decided to show up at last.
“They share every physical characteristic, including a substantial 5 pounds 7 pounds each. Still no names.
“As always, Jess was magnificent. She has been dragging around what resembled a globe for the past few weeks, and I’m very proud of her.” He added: “I also want to thank the incredible team at The RVI in Newcastle.

Rafa and Cormac were said to have health problems, and Jonnie stated in 2020, “Both boys have health problems.” Rafa had to be sedated for a hernia operation, and they’ve had milk intolerance and fevers.”
Irwin revealed he had terminal lung cancer on November 13, 2022, after being diagnosed in 2020.
