Heather Anderson passed away on 14 November 2022. Her cause of death was not revealed. In a brief statement released on Monday, The Adelaide Crows club confirmed the 28-year-old passed away and expressed condolences to her family and friends.

Anderson rose to prominence in the AFLW because of her signature pink headgear, which she began wearing early in her career to helping her vision-impaired mother spot her on the field.
