Steve Webber was an American baseball player and coach who played college baseball at Southern Illinois University and participated in the 1969 College World Series.

He is perhaps best known for his exploits when he was head coach of University of Georgia from 1981 to 1996.
He led the Georgia Bulldogs to a national championship in baseball and was also the coach with the most wins in the school’s history.
Webber posted a record of 500-403-1 over 16 years as Georgia’s head coach, highlighted by a run to the 1990 national title. He also guided the Bulldogs to the College World Series in 1987.

Following his departure from Georgia, he served as an assistant coach for several minor league teams.
Webber was born on November 21, 1947 and died on November 12, 2022 at the age of 74, a few days to his 75th birthday.
