The funeral service for Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball who was fatally shot dead on Nov. 1 2022 was held Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at the Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

Scores of people including family, friend, celebrities and sympathizers thronged the venue to pay their last respect to the fallen hero.
American rappers, Offset and Quavo, who doubled up as Takeoff’s bandmates and relatives, made speeches at the memorial.
Though fans were asked not to take video or pictures of the event, not all obliged and some video clips of the speeches have been seen online.

After the funeral, Quavo took to Instagram to pay tribute to Takeoff, writing;
“It’s so hard to tell you Ima miss you because you always with me and we did everything together.
“Since we were kids you been by my side.”
“I’m proud we saw the world and done things we couldn’t ever imagine together.
“We laughed way more than we ever argued and when we did I was in the wrong every time.”
