He had an estimated net worth of $10.5 billion in October 2022; however, following FTX’s liquidity crisis, his net worth was estimated to have dropped 94% in a day to $991.5 million on November 8, 2022, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
According to Bloomberg, the value of FTX and Bankman-other Fried’s company, Alameda Research, has been “eviscerated.” Not quite down to zero. However, the total value of both companies is $1. Just last January, FTX was valued at $32 billion.

Sam’s most visible asset is a 7.6% equity stake in Robinhood, which he purchased for $648 million in May 2022. That stake is now worth around $592 million at current prices.
What is unknown is the magnitude of SBF’s liabilities. It is also being reported that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and at least one other regulatory agency are looking into whether FTX improperly handled customer funds and potential improper transactions/relationships between FTX and Alameda Research.
