Blake Gates Masters is an American venture capitalist who is running for the United States Senate in Arizona in 2022.

According to World Wire, his net worth comes from a variety of sources, including his business ventures, books, and various investments, totalling an estimated $18 million.

Known as Peter Thiel’s protégé, Masters co-wrote Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future with Thiel in 2014, based on notes Masters took at Stanford Law School in 2012. The book has sold over 4 million copies.

Masters later became the chief operating officer of Thiel Capital and the president of the Thiel Foundation.

Masters is the Republican Party’s nominee in Arizona’s 2022 U.S. Senate race, defeating state Attorney General Mark Brnovich and businessman Jim Lamon in August 2022, primary.

Throughout his campaign, he has sided with Thiel and former President Donald Trump, both of whom have endorsed him for re-election in June 2022. Thiel contributed $15 million to Masters’ primary campaign.
