Who Is Lina Hidalgo?
Lina Hidalgo is the current county judge of Harris County, in the United States.
Born on February 19, 1991, Hidalgo had her education at Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas, and proceeded to Stanford University, where she completed a degree in political science.
Hidalgo is the first to emerge as Harris County’s county judge as a woman and as a Latina.

She serves as both the county’s emergency manager and its top executive. She currently oversees a budget of $4 billion.
In her 2018 campaign for county judge, she defeated Ed Emmett.
Hidalgo has been praised with improving voting results and simplifying the voting process in Harris County for the 2020 Texas elections.
Hidalgo was on the Time magazine cover in January 2018 along with a large number of other female candidates in one of the most significant elections for women.
