Who Is Rosa DeLauro?
Rosa DeLauro is an American politician born on March 2, 1943, in New Haven, Connecticut.

She graduated from The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall in Milford, Connecticut.
Rosa had also attended the London School of Economics and Columbia University for her master’s degree in international politics after receiving her undergraduate degree from Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York.
Since 1991, Rosa has served as the congresswoman for Connecticut’s third congressional district.
She is the leader of Connecticut’s congressional delegation and a Democratic Party member.
Rosa was chosen as the 117th Congress’s chair of the House Appropriations Committee in 2020, making her the second woman to occupy the role.
From 2003 to 2021, she served as the co-chair of the House Democratic Steering Committee.
In 1988, Rosa managed Michael Dukakis’ tristate region campaign and served as Chris Dodd’s chief of staff and campaign manager before being elected to the House.
