Maggie Hassan is an American politician and attorney who is currently serving as the junior United States senator from New Hampshire.
Maggie Hassan first ran for the New Hampshire Senate in 2002 but was unsuccessful. Maggie Hassan was elected to the Senate in 2016 while serving as the 81st governor of New Hampshire.
