Selena detailed her health struggles in her 2022 documentary, My Mind and Me, but did not mention Francia, her kidney donor.
In a November 2022 interview with Rolling Stone, Selena stated that Taylor Swift was her only celebrity friend in the industry. Francia unfollowed Selena on Instagram the day after her documentary premiered because Selena did not mention her name in the documentary.
Francia also commented on an Instagram post by E! “Interesting,” according to the news. Selena responded by writing a comment underneath a TikTon video that discussed how Francia unfollowed her saying: “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”

Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa met in 2007 when the Disney and ABC Family stars went to a children’s hospital together. “Selena and I were in the same group and we just clicked,” Francia told Latina in 2013.
Francia donated her kidney to Selena in 2017 due to complications from her lupus treatment.
