Who won the World Series 2022?

The Houston Astros have won the Major League Baseball World Series 2022. The Astros defeated the Phill Phillies who came visiting during the Saturday’s game which resulted in a 4-1 score.

Famber Valdez and Yoldan Alvarez put up a phenomenal performance along with rookie Jeremy Pena who notched a pair of hits and was on base for Alvarez homer. This is the second world series won by the Astros after the debut victory in 2017.

Yordan Alvarez is the only player in postseason history with multiple go-ahead HR in the 6th or later with his team trailing. In his entire career so far, he now has three.

After their enormous victory, rookie Jeremy Pena was named the MVP of the season. This was after going 2 for 4 in the Game 6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies and 10 for 25 with a home run in the series.

American businessman, Mattress Mack has also won the biggest bet win in sports  history after the Astros victory. He won a total of $75 million.
