Aaron Charles Carter, an American rapper, singer, and actor who rose to fame as a pop and hip hop singer in the late 1990s has died at age 34.

According to TMZ, Carter was found drowned in his bathtub on Saturday Nov. 5, 2022. However, a cause of death is yet to be determined, as per a representative for Carter’s team.
In recent years, Carter had been very blunt about his mental health issues and drug addiction.
During a 2019 interview on the television show “The Doctors”, he revealed that he suffered from;
- Dissociative identity disorder,
- Schizophrenia,
- Acute anxiety, and
- Manic depression.

- Dissociative Identity Disorder
Also known as multiple personality disorder, this disorder is characterized by “switching” to alternate identities.

One may feel the “presence of two or more people talking or living inside his/her head”, and also feel as though being possessed by other identities.
- Schizophrenia
This is a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally.
Its symptoms can include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, trouble with thinking and lack of motivation.
- Acute Anxiety
These are moments of severe anxiety and panic that are so powerful it can feel like you are having a heart attack.
Its symptoms may include: chest pains and rapid heartbeat.
- Manic Depression
Also known as bipolar disorder, it is a chronic mood disorder that causes intense shifts in mood, energy levels and behavior.
Manic and hypomanic episodes are the main sign of the condition.
Most people with bipolar disorder also have depressive episodes.
