Keegan Mitchell Murray is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association. He was selected fourth overall in the 2022 NBA draft.

Keegan Murray was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on 19 August 2000. Keegan Murray’s parents are Michelle and Kenyon Murray.

His father, Kenyon, is a former basketball player who, like Keegan, played collegiate basketball for Iowa. His mom, Michelle, was a four-sport athlete in high school and played golf in college.
Keegan’s parents met at the University of Iowa, with his dad telling KCRG: “We met each other and it was love at first sight.” His dad was a college basketball star.
Kenyon was a 6ft 5 wing, who averaged 26 points and 10 rebounds at Battle Creek Central.
Per Detroit Free Press, he was named Michigan Mr. Basketball in 1992 – the only player from Battle Creek to win the award – and finished with 1,448 career points, a city, and a school record.
