Ray Guy was a professional American football punter in the National Football League. Only three of his 1,049 punts were blocked, and he retired second all-time after punting 619 consecutive times without a block from the 1979 season until the end of his career in 1986.

Guy led the NFL in punting three times in 1974, 1975, and 1977, finishing second three times and third once. He played in 22 postseason games and had 111 punts for a 42.4 average in his career.
He appeared in seven Pro Bowls and was named All-Pro and All-AFC six times. His best season average was 45.3 yards on 69 punts in his rookie season. In the NFL, his longest punt was 74 yards against Denver in 1977.

Ray Guy hit a 71-yard field goal against San Diego in the 1980 AFC Championship Game. Guy specialised in putting opponents in bad field positions with his pinpoint punts and being a long-distance punter.
