Pedro Martnez, a former Major League Baseball (MLB) starting pitcher who played for five different teams from 1992 to 2009 is married to Carolina Cruz de Martnez.

Pedro Martinez met Carolina while she was a sophomore at Boston College, and Pedro was in the midst of three of the most dominant pitching seasons in baseball history. They tied the knot in 2005.
Carolina was a volleyball player in college with a journalism major when they first met. She later earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Miami before starting work as a sideline reporter for ESPN Deportes.

Carolina Cruz de Martnez now runs Pedro Martínez’s charitable organisation, Pedro Martnez and Brothers Foundation.
Pedro Martinez and Brothers Foundation, which officially operates in both the United States and the Dominican Republic, focuses primarily on children, education, and healthcare issues in the Dominican Republic.
The foundation has recently spent a significant amount of time and money rebuilding and funding projects on the baseball-talent-rich island following devastating hurricanes.
Carolina has also developed her programme, “The Power in Learning,” which focuses on providing high-quality education to adolescent women in the Dominican Republic.
