Melissa Fumero is an American actress. From the age of ten, she aspired to become an actress and attended New York University, from which she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama.

She made her professional debut in 2004, recurring as Adriana Cramer in the soap opera One Life to Live. Following several minor roles, Fumero had her first main role in the Fox (later NBC) comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Amy Santiago, a role she played from 2013 to 2021.
Since this breakthrough, Fumero has voiced Melissa Tarleton in the critically acclaimed animated series M.O.D.O.K. (2021) and is set to star in Netflix’s upcoming series Blockbuster. She is married to actor and former model David Fumero, with whom she has two sons.
In 2022, Fumero was cast in the Netflix comedy Blockbuster as Eliza, a devoted mother whose marriage to her teenage boyfriend is experiencing difficulties. The first episode is expected to premiere on November 3, 2022.

She was born Melissa Gallo but she later changed her surname to Fumero after marriage.

Before she was dominating the screen as “Amy Santiago” on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Melissa Fumero was serving Queen bee, “Blair Waldorf” on Gossip Girl!
Melissa Fumero would take on the part of “Adriana”, “Dorian Cramer Lord’s” long-lost daughter on One Life to Live, becoming the second actress to play the character.
Melissa would stay with the show until 2007 when she dropped to the reoccurring status before her character was officially written off the show in 2008.
Now free to take on other roles, Melissa’s next big TV appearance would come on the hit teen drama Gossip Girl.
Following the lives of some of New York City’s wealthiest Upper East Side teenagers, Melissa would take on the role of “Zoe”, one of “Blair Waldorf’s” (Leighton Meester) trusty minions, in 2010 for five episodes.

Melissa starred as Amy Santiago in Brooklyn nine-nine. Amy Santiago is one of the most endearing characters on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
She’s utterly obsessed with anything that has to do with rules and organization, she’ll create binders for just about anything, sets impossibly high standards for herself, and is totally obsessed with getting Captain Holt’s (Andre Braugher) approval. She is a goody-two-shoes, and she’s okay with that.
