Sir Erich Arieh Reich was an Austrian-born entrepreneur based in London. Sir Erich Reich was born in Vienna, Austria in 1935. In 1938, he was one of 5,000 children deported to Poland by Nazi Germany.

He arrived in the United Kingdom as one of 10,000 children under the Kindertransport agreement in August 1939, at the age of four. His parents were murdered in Auschwitz, and he never saw them again.
Reich worked in the travel industry in the UK and became a successful entrepreneur. Classic Tours, a charity fundraising initiative that specialised in activity-based global travel, was founded by him in 1987, and it has raised over £60 million for charity.

Sir Erich Reich, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, aged 87. His cause of death has not been disclosed.
Tributes have been paid to Sir Erich Reich after his sudden passing. Manna, the UK branch of the Israeli charity Meir Panim, said: “We are hugely saddened by the passing of Sir Erich Reich, our honorary president, former chairman and friend. “Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family.”
