How are Quavo and Offset cousins?

Quavious Keyate Marshall / Quavo is an American rapper best known as the co-founder and former frontman of hip hop group Migos.

Aside music, Quavo (31 years) is also known as the uncle of fellow Migos member Takeoff (28 years), who died on Nov. 1, 2022 and cousin of Offset (30 years).

Migos was formed in 2008 by Quavo and fellow rappers Takeoff and Offset.

• The trio are directly related and were raised together by Edna Marshall. Quavo’s mother.
• Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle, and Offset is Quavo’s cousin.

Migos was originally known as Polo Club and are from Lawrenceville, Georgia.

• The group eventually decided to change their name to “Migos” after deciding Polo Club was too generic.
• The group released their first full-length project, a mixtape titled Juug Season, on August 25, 2011.
• They followed with the mixtape No Label, on June 1, 2012.

Offset released a solo album in 2019, while Takeoff and Quavo released a joint album “Only Built for Infinity Links” last month.

The trio grew up listening to artists like Tupac, Biggie, Lil Wayne, Master P and Outkast.

Quavo and Offset played high school football where they grew up as well.
