Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson is a British billionaire, entrepreneur, and business magnate who founded The Virgin Group in the 1970s, which today controls more than 400 companies in various fields.

Branson has two children with his wife Joan Templeman – a daughter Holly Branson (b. 1981) and a son Sam Branson (b. 1985).

Holly is the Chief Purpose and Vision Officer on the Virgin leadership team, Chair of Virgin Unite, and Founder and Trustee of Big Change.
After achieving medical and physiology degrees and realising her dream of working as a doctor, Holly joined the Virgin Group as a member of the leadership team in 2008.

Sam is the founder of Sundog Pictures (founded in 2012), a production company created to deliver challenging, entertaining and informative content, to tell stories that matter and bring new audiences to important topics.
In 2021, Sundog Pictures transformed into a new global studio, HiddenLight Productions, which Sam co-founded alongside former US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, and her daughter, Chelsea Clinton.
The team creates premium documentaries that aim to give people more hope and a better understanding of the world.
Sam also has a passion for music and has released two EP’s through Waves Rush In.
- In an interview with Piers Morgan, Branson revealed that he and Joan also had a daughter named Clare Sarah, who died when she was four days old in 1979.
