Who Is Steven Knight?
Steven Knight doubles as a film director and had directed the films Locke and Hummingbird.
Born on August 5, 1959, Knight is one of the creators of the global TV game show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, as well as the writer of BBC’s Commercial Breakdown, The Detectives, Peaky Blinders, Comedy Playhouse, Frankie’s On…, Auntie’s Big Bloomers, See and Taboo.

Knight is the brain behind the TV series Peaky Blinders and Canned Carrott.
He also contributed to the film A Christmas Carol. Knight has directed a number of movies including Hummingbird (2013), Locke (2014), and Serenity (2019).
For the movie Locke, he had won the Best Screenplay category at the British Independent Film Awards.
Knight took his directing skills beyond film in 2022, when he directed the Opening Ceremony of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
