It is unclear of Amou Haji had children or not. There isn’t any information about his children.

He was described as the dirtiest man. Haji had refused to use soap and water for more than half a century, fearing it would make him sick.

He lived in the southern province of Fars. He had avoided previous attempts by villagers to get him clean.

According to local media, he succumbed to pressure and washed a few months ago.

Reports suggest that he came ill and died shortly after on October 23.

He was the subject of a 2013 documentary titled The Strang Life of Amou Haji.
