Brian Robinson BEM a British road cyclist who competed in the 1950s and early 1960s was the father of Louise Robinson who was born on 12 January 1965.

Louise Robinson, Robinson’s daughter, became a cyclocross rider, winning a silver medal at the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in 2000.

He was the winner of the 1961 Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré stage race. His success as a professional cyclist in mainland Europe paved the way for other Britons to follow in his footsteps.
Robinson retired at the age of 33. Robinson was named the ninth-best British rider of the twentieth century by Cycling magazine.
He was inducted into the British Cycling Hall of Fame in 2009. Brian Robinson died at the age of 91 on October 25, 2022.
