Sarah Ashley, a native of Virginia, who went missing four years ago, was found underground of “a preexisting building” in the rural part of North Carolina, on October 17, 2022.

The body of Sarah is yet to be claimed by the family members and yet to be buried properly.
The mystery surrounding her death is still being unravelled.
What Happened To Sarah Ashley?
Sarah, who was aged 33 at the time, had reportedly gone missing from Patrick County since June 2018.
She was last seen at a site on Blue Hollow Road in Mount Airy, N.C.
It happened that detectives were on a search mission on a property at 1791 Asbury Road in Westfield, just about 110 miles northwest of Durham.
The building is said to have been unoccupied for a long very time.

“Detectives brought in specialized personnel to utilize heavy equipment to move dirt and terrain and stabilize an existing structure,” the authorities said in a statement.
“The remains of Sarah were located underneath the floor of a preexisting structure”, it read.
Report from an autopsy conducted at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center had revealed that the body was that of Sarah.
The office of the sheriff’s in Stokes and Surry counties, in a statement said that arrests are yet to be made regarding her death, as investigations are ongoing.
