Arshad Sharif was born in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, on February 22, 1973, and died in Nairobi, Kenya, on October 23, 2022, at the age of 49 years after he was shot dead by some unknown assailants.

Arshad Sharif’s family are yet to receive his body to prepare for his final rites and in due time, every preparation will be made for him to be paid his last respect.

Arshad Sharif was very learned and he was an alumnus of Government Gordon College, Quaid-e-Azam University, and Ulster University.

Arshad Sharif was a one-time recipient of the Agahi Award for Journalism, a one-time recipient of the Asian Investigative Media Award, and a one-time recipient of the War Correspondent Award.
