Eric Nobbs was a South African actor best known for his roles in Afrikaans TV series. Nobbs began in 1978 in Boetie Gaan Border Toe, Ma-Plotters, Lui Maar Op Belinda (Seasons 1 and 2, as Frans).

He continued to work for PACT on and off until 1986, including playing Mitch in A Streetcar Named Desire, for which he received the Vita Theatre Award, one of many honours during his career.

According to TVSA, he began producing his one-man shows in 1995 and successfully toured South Africa and Namibia.
He was most recently known for his role in the first three seasons of Die Byl (The Axe), which premiered in 2016.
He starred as pathologist Dr Fritz Barnard in the crime drama series based on the real-life South African detective Piet Byleveld.
Eric Nobbs died at the age of 68 on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from a suspected heart attack, according to Saartjie Klipkop.
