Zuri Craig, a former finalist on America’s Got Talent as part of the Craig Lewis band, has died.

His death was confirmed by his family on Friday, October 21, 2022, in a post on his website. The cause of death has not been made public, but some speculate that he died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident on Oct. 21.

Before his appearance on national TV, Craig also appeared in select Perry projects, including Madea’s Big Happy Family, A Madea Christmas, and Madea Gets a Job. Craig also recently worked on a web series, Black Hollywood Atlanta, for which the production put out a casting call last year.
In addition to music, he has worked on podcasts and other shows over the years. He was set to produce Soul Food Live, an Atlanta-based show, beginning in November 2022, and was heavily promoting it on social media at the time of his death.
