Heather O’Rourke was an American child actress who was active in the media scenes for about a decade from 1981 to 1988. Heather O’Rourke won the Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Television Series award at the 1985 Young Artist Award.

Heather O’Rourke was born to Michael O’Rourke and Kathleen O’Rourke in San Diego, California, on December 27, 1975, and died in San Diego, California, on February 1, 1988, at the age of 12 years as a result of congenital stenosis of the intestine causing septic shock.

The death of Heather O’Rourke was a shock to many as she was very young and was already a star. Prior to her death, Heather O’Rourke had a declining health condition that was as a result of her illness.

Heather O’Rourke’s funeral plans were scheduled by her family and she was buried at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.
