Simon began her professional career as the Simon Sisters, singing folk songs with sister Carly Simon, and later as a folk-rock singer.
Lucy Simon made her Broadway debut as the composer of The Secret Garden, for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Original Score and a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Music in 1991.
Lucy Simon died Thursday, October 20, 2022, at her Piedmont, New York, home after a long battle with breast cancer, according to a family spokesperson. She was 82 years old.
