Who Is Johnny Issaluk?
Johnny Issaluk is an actor famous for appearing in AMC’s The Terror and in the BBC program The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan.
Born on August 1, 1973, Johnny grew up in Nunavut, on the west coast of Hudson Bay.
He has so far starred in several movies including Falls Around Her, Indian Horse, Two Lovers and a Bear, Kajutaijuq: The Spirit That Comes, and The Orphan and the Polar Bear.

In May 2019 he was named Royal Canadian Geographical Society’s Explorer-in-Residence.
In the same year, he was conferred the highest civilian order in Canada, the Order of Canada.
He was honoured “for his contributions as an athlete, actor, educator and Arctic ambassador, who has increased the visibility of northern and Inuit culture.”
However, Johnny was recently stripped off his title and his appointment terminated by the government.
The reason for terminating Johnny’s membership was not stated.
