Greena Davis is an actor and producer, born on January 21, 1956.

Davis graduated from Boston University, where she bagged her first degree in Drama, and first appeared in the film Tootsie in 1982.

She went on to star in the movies The Fly (1986), Beetlejuice (1988), The Accidental Tourist (1988), Thelma & Louise (1991), A League of Their Own (1992),  Cutthroat Island (1995) and The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996).

Her most recent appearances were in the films Accidents Happen (2009), Marjorie Prime (2017), Grey’s Anatomy (2014–2015, 2018), The Exorcist (2017), and many more.

Davis has received several awards and accolades including two Academy Awards, the Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.

Davis owns the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, whichbis aimed at increasing the number of female personnels in the media.

In 2018, she  was awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and with the Governors Award the following year.
