Paul Newman and author A.E. Hotchner created his signature salad dressing in December 1980 in his backyard barn in an attempt to bottle enough dressing for his family to distribute around the neighbourhood as homemade Christmas gifts.

Paul Newman made Newman’s Own BBQ sauce. The Newman’s Own BBQ sauce has been discontinued. Newman’s Own dog treats are manufactured in a pet-speciality facility in the United States.
