Her death was announced by her grandmother, Robin Waters.

“We are devastated. I am a private person, but this is a little different,” Waters had said in a statement.

“I want all the people who loved her to find some comfort in the fact that she is at peace. And maybe it could help someone else who is in that position”, Waters added.

Wilson had died after consuming a high dose of heroin or fentanyl. She had a history of drug abuse and had been put behind bars on three occasions as a result.

Wilson, who lost her mother in 2021, has had a tough time battling drug abuse. Efforts to curb her addiction had proved abortive, as she escaped from a correctional facility on several occasions.
