Beay Biden was a politician, lawyer, and officer in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps from Wilmington, Delaware.
He was the first child of U.S. president Joe Biden and Neilia Hunter Biden.
Beau was a graduate of Archmere Academy, the University of Pennsylvania, and Syracuse University College of Law.

Afterwards, he worked at the United States Department of Justice in Philadelphia, and later as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Beau rose to become a partner in the law firm of Bifferato, Gentilotti, Biden & Balick, before he was elected Attorney General of Delaware.
He became the attorney general of Delaware in 2007 and held the position until 2015.
Beau helped join forces during the Iraq war and was a major in the Delaware Army National Guard. During his active years in the military, he was awarded a Bronze Star Medal as a reward for his service.
Beau passed away on May 30, 2015, after suffering from brain cancer. He was aged 46.
He had reportedly been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 2001, shortly after he returned from military service in Kosovo, in Iraq.
Beau is survived by his wife, Hallie Olivere, daughter, Natalie Naomi, and son, Robert Hunter II.
His burial ceremony took place at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
