Anthony M. DeLuca Sr. was a Democratic Party politician in the United States. DeLuca was born in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighbourhood.

He attended Westinghouse High School and Allegheny County Community College. He began his political career on the Penn Hills Government Study Commission.

Anthony M. DeLuca served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 32nd District from 1983 until his death and was a longtime resident of the Pittsburgh suburb of Penn Hills.

He served on the Penn Hills City Council and was the town’s deputy mayor before being elected to the state legislature. He was the Democratic Chairman of the House Insurance Committee for more than 20 years.

He was a member of the Democratic Policy Committee, as well as several other caucuses, including autism, cancer, firefighters, and emergency management.

Anthony M. DeLuca passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the age of 85, at home. According to a news release from his office, he was diagnosed with lymphoma.

Anthony M. DeLuca Sr. was the father of four children, the grandfather of nine grandchildren, and the grandfather of three great-grandchildren. Along with his late wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Larry, and his parents.
