American politician Mike Bonin was recently belittled via a racist comment made by Los Angeles City Council President, Nury Martinez.

The comment was leaked via an audio that was recorded in 2021.

Martinez had insulted Bonin for having a black son, even though he is white.

There has been a call from members of the council for Martinez to resign ahead of the November 8 election.

Who Is Mike Bonin?

Mike Bonin is a serving American politician and a member of the Los Angeles City Council for the 11th district.

Bonin has been a progressive member of the Democratic Party and he has experience working in the media sector.

Born in 1967, Bonin attended Clinton High School in Clinton, Massachusetts and went on to graduate from Harvard University.

His political trajectory began in 1966, when he joined the Los Angeles city politics as a staff of L.A. City Council.

Since then, he has worked as a legislative deputy, district director, and deputy chief of staff.

In 2022, Bonin declared that he had no intentions running for a third term, due to depression and health challenges.
