Chris Penn Parents: Meet Eileen Ryan Penn And Leo Penn

Christopher Shannon Penn (Chris Penn) was an American actor. He was born on October 10, 1965 and passed away on January 24, 2006 at age 40.

An autopsy revealed the primary cause for his death was “nonspecific cardiomyopathy” (heart disease).

Chris was born to Eileen Ryan Penn and Leo Penn in Los Angeles, California. His siblings are Sean Penn and Michael Penn.

Chris’ mother was born on October 16, 1927 and passed away a few days ago on Oct. 9, 2022 at age 94.

She appeared with her sons Sean and Chris in the 1986 film At Close Range, portraying the brothers’ grandmother. She also made an appearance in The Crossing Guard, which Sean directed.

From 2020 to 2022, she was the mother-in-law of the Australian-American model and actress Leila George through Sean.

• Leo Penn

Leonard Francis Penn, an American actor and director was born on August 27, 1921 and died September 5, 1998 at age 77.

He was a life member of The Actors Studio and won the Theatre World Award in 1954 for his performance in the play The Girl on the Via Flaminia. He acted in numerous roles in the early years of television.
