American football coach Jon Gruden stepped down as coach of the Raiders following a controversy about leaked emails from him carrying racist, misogynistic and anti-LGBTQ undertone.

The mails were said to have been sent between 2011 and 2018.

As a result, the Tampa Bay had erased his name from the Buccaneers Ring of Honor.

Who Is Jon Gruden?

Jon Gruden is a former football head coach in the National Football League (NFL).

Born on August 17, 1963, in Ohio, Jon was schooled at Clay High School in South Bend, Indiana.

He later attended Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, before transferring to the University of Dayton, where he played as backup quarterback for the Flyers.

He spent three seasons at Dayton and made a record of 24–7.

Jon’s career in the NFL lasted 15 seasons.

He served as head coach for the Raiders franchise from 1998 to 2001 and won two division titles back to back.

Jon at a time held the title of the youngest head coach to win the Super Bowl at age 39.

He moved to the Tampa Bay, working as their head coach through 2008, but made a comeback to the Raiders until he forcefully resigned.
