Born on September 5, 1983, Riley has been head coach at the University of Oklahoma. He is the older sibling of Garrett Riley, the current offensive coordinator at TCU.

While at Oklahoma, he clinched the Big 12 Championship Games, on four occasions back to back. He has so far produced more than 28 draft picks including 5 first-rounders.
