Serial Killer Peter Tobin Dies aged 76

Peter Tobin, a serial killer, died on October 8, 2022, after becoming ill in the prison where he was serving three life sentences.

On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, he was transferred from HMP Edinburgh to a hospital, believed to be the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he died, according to sources.

He was serving a life sentence for raping and murdering 23-year-old Polish student Angelika Kluk in 2006 and concealing her body beneath the floor of a Glasgow church.

The killer, who was in his mid-seventies, was also serving life sentences for the 1991 murders of 15-year-old schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton of Redding, near Falkirk, and 18-year-old Dinah McNicol.

Tobin had been hospitalised several times in recent years, most recently in January and March of this year. In 2016, Peter Tobin was reportedly rushed to the hospital from prison after collapsing in his cell.

According to officials, Tobin was permanently scarred after being slashed in the throat and face with a razor blade by another prisoner.

Tobin was sentenced to ten years in prison for raping two 14-year-old girls in 1993. He was sentenced to life in prison in 2007 for the rape and murder of Kluk, four years after
