Mackenzie Hughes is a Canadian professional golfer who turned professional in 2012 and won the 2013 PGA Tour Canada Order of Merit, earning a Web.com Tour card for 2014, fully exempt as the money leader.

Hughes was born on November 23, 1990 to parents Jeffrey Hughes and Sandra Hughes.
Hughes was introdced to golf when he was seven years old. His parents elected to bring him along to the driving range rather than hire a babysitter.

As a child, Hughes dreamed of slapping a puck rather than a golf ball, but he wouldn’t come close to fulfilling his NHL dream; instead, he lives it vicariously by supporting his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
Hughes’ mother has been a nurse for more than 30 years and is now a vascular access nurse in Canada at Hamilton Health Sciences in Hamilton, Ontario.
In October 2022, Sandra and Jeffrey’s beloved son won his second PGA Tour title at the Sanderson Farms Championship in a playoff over Sepp Straka.
