Gabby Petito was an American woman, who was killed by her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, while they were travelling across the United States in a van. On September 19, 2021, she was discovered dead.

Petito was attempting to establish herself as a social media travel influencer and planned to share her travels with her followers.

According to The New York Times, she had been working as a pharmacy technician to save for her trip.

Gabby Petito was born in Blue Point, New York, and raised there. She was the oldest of six children and half-siblings.

Gabby Petito graduated from Bayport-Blue Point High School in 2017 where she met Brian Christopher Laundrie.

Gabby Petito lived in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, from September 2017 to January 2019, and worked as a hostess and in the kitchen of a restaurant in Wilmington. She applied but did not attend Cape Fear Community College.
