Flint City Bucks defender Eugene Quaynor who died in a car crash Wednesday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma was not known to be married at time of death.

He was pursuing his master degree while playing soccer for Oral Roberts University and was the captain of the Oral Roberts football team at the time of his death.
Quaynor’s last match for his team was on the day of his death in a 3-1 win over Lindenwood men’s team.

The Oral Roberts University posted the following statement following Eugene’s demise;
“We mourn the loss of ORU Men’s Soccer student-athlete, Eugene Quaynor.
“Eugene was the epitome of the mission we strive for in our Athletic Department. He was a leader on the field as a captain of the men’s soccer team and had a spirit-empowered heart ready to lead and impact the world for Jesus.
“His infectious smile will be missed all over the ORU campus, but his spirit will live on as we will never forget #27.”

Eugene Quaynor was born in Accra, Ghana and schooled at the Oyoko Methodist SHS where he led his team to win the ‘interco’ games.
He later furthered his education at the University of Ghana where he helped the school place third at the GUSA games.
Quaynor later gained a scholarship to further his studies in the United States at Oral Roberts University to study Sports Management.
