Nathan Eovaldi is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball. He previously played in the MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays.

With the Red Sox, Eovaldi was a World Series champion in 2018 and an All-Star in 2021. He was Boston’s Opening Day Starter for the second year in a row, taking the loss as the Red Sox fell to the Orioles, 3-0. On July 4, 2021, he was named to the American roster for the MLB All-Star Game.
On June 12, 2022, he was placed on the injured list with lower back inflammation. He was reactivated by the team on July 15. Eovaldi returned to the injured list on August 23, due to right shoulder inflammation.
