Graham Clark Gano  is an American football placekicker for the National Football League’s New York Giants (NFL).

Graham Gano was born in Arbroath, Scotland to Mark Gano and Brenda Gano. When Gano was born, his father, Mark, was a United States Navy Master Chief Petty Officer and Vietnam veteran stationed at Canadian Forces Base, Gander, Newfoundland.

Gano comes from a long line of military families, including his great grandfather Richard Gano and grandfather Raymond of Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Gano grew up in Cantonment, Florida, near Pensacola, and went to J. M. Tate High School, the Mighty Mighty Aggies’ home, where he was a two-sport star in football and track.

In high school, he was a USA Today All-American First-Team selection and the nation’s third-ranked kicker according to Rivals.com.
