TV Writer, Dale McRaven has died at age 83. Dale died from complications of lung cancer on 5th September.

The news of his passing was announced by his son.

McRaven was best known for his creation of the ABC sitcom, Perfect Strangers, as well as for his co-creation of Mark & Mindy alongside Garry Marshall and Joe Glauberg. Together, the trio also created the ABC sitcom Angie, which aired in 1970 and 1980.
In addition to creating several television programs, McRaven served as a writer on a few others. He served as a writer and producer for The Porridge Family.
