Did Patrick McEnroe ever win Wimbledon?

Patrick McEnroe  is a former American professional tennis player, broadcaster, and Davis Cup captain.

Patrick McEnroe never won Wimbledon. He won one singles title and sixteen doubles titles, including the French Open in 1989. His career high rankings in singles were world No. 28 and world No. 3 in doubles.

McEnroe began playing tennis as a child and received instruction at the Port Washington Tennis Academy, where his brother John also competed. Patrick reached the Wimbledon and US Open boys’ singles semifinals as a junior in 1983.

He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Stanford. McEnroe earned a degree in political science from Stanford in 1988 before joining the professional tennis tour.

McEnroe represented his country as a doubles player in the Davis Cup in 1993, 1994, and 1996, going 3-1.

The Davis Cup team, led by McEnroe, won the Cup for the United States in December 2007. On September 6, 2010, he resigned as team captain. He has served as captain for the most years of any US Davis Cup captain.
