Bill Fulcher was an American football player and coach. He played college football at the Georgia Institute of Technology and then for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League.

Fulcher served as head coach at the University of Tampa in 1971 and at his mater, Georgia Tech, in 1972 and 1973, compiling a career college football record of 18-15-1.

Fulcher was hired by Dodd (then serving as athletic director) before the 1972 season after Bud Carson was fired after five seasons.
After three seasons in the NFL as a linebacker, he is said to be the first person in Augusta to play in the NFL.
Fulcher also undertook coaching jobs at the high school level in Georgia and Tech and then in Florida.
Bill Fulcher died on September 23, 2022, at age 88.
