Is Louise Fletcher Alive?

Girlboss actress, Louise Fletcher, is no longer alive. She passed away on September 23, 2022, at age 88.

The multiple award-winning actress had died in her home in Montdurausse, France, surrounded by family members.

Fletcher, was well known for the 1975 film ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’.

She had played the role of the tyrannical Nurse Ratched in the movie and it won her an Academy Award for Best Actress at the time.

The 5 ft 10 inches tall actress appeared in several television series including Lawman (1958), Maverick (1959) and Untouchables, and she recorded great success even with her height.

Other movies in which she starred include Thieves Like Us, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Cruel Intentions, Picket Fences, Joan of Arcadia (2004) and Girlboss (2017).

Fletcher was named the most memorable villains in film history by the American Film Institute.

Fletcher got married to film producer Jerry Bick, in 1959 but they divorced in 1977.

She is survived by her two sons, John and Andrew Bick; her sister, Roberta Ray; and her granddaughter.

Aside from her home in Montdurausse, Fletcher also owned a home in Los Angeles.
